I bought this grinder for Christmas 8 1/2 years ago. It has worked without fail throughout the years. It is a little messy, especially in the winter months when the air is dry and static builds up. Just recently it began to make a strange noise so I think it is time for a new one. I am strongly considering purchasing another one of these, but it is pricey compared to some of the others on the market. If price is not an issue, this is a great grinder.

When I first read the reviews of the various burr grinders on the market, including this one, it seemed that they were not designed for the single cup of coffee a day that I wanted. It turns out that not only is this grinder powerful and easy to use, it works just fine for grinding just a single serving a day as well. The flavor that it brings out from the beans is unmatched and unbelievable compared to a chopper grinder. It takes up no more space than a typical coffee maker, and cleaning is a snap. After doing my daily grind, I just tap on the bowl with the cover still on and turn the unit back on for about 10 seconds and about a teaspoon more of grinds empties out. To clean it out completely, you can brush out the easily accessible cutter and teeth as it recommends, and blow it out in the garage with compressed air. It is well worth the money paid, better than those costing almost twice as much.

The Bodum Antigua Coffee Burr Grinder (Black) went bust after two years of weekly operations. Nothing heavy duty. Surprised at becoming a statistical victim. Should have stuck to the manual grinders.

I purchased this grinder. It got jammed
every time I used it.
Was it defective. I don't know...maybe.
I returned it to Amazon without a hitch.
I bought a different brand, Capresso. I love it.

My cousin has had an earlier model of this coffee grinder for some years. I borrowed it from time-to-time when I bought high-quality coffee beans and just loved it. Due to the excellent service this grinder has given my cousin, I finally bought one for myself and am so glad I did.
I highly recommend this coffee grinder. While it is a bit pricier than some others, the difference is certainly well worth it to me.
