If you want to save paper and have a reusable filter, this is a good choice. I've been using it for a few months with my Mr. Coffee maker and have never had any problems. It's easy to clean - I just use hot water.

I like this filter a lot. The coffee flavor is more full and it allows some of the finer sediments to make it through into the pot, enriching the flavor.

I read the various reviews of this filter and others before buying, and have found this permanent filter meets my every expectation. The coffee does indeed taste better than with paper filters! I was concerned with the solid bottom of this filter until I read another review that stated this helped the flavor of the coffee by keeping the water in the filter for a bit longer. Other filters with screened bottoms were stated to let the water flow through too fast, thereby making weak coffee. I have a 4-cup Mr. Coffee and this filter is a bit smaller in diameter than the filter holder so it fits well. I found that cleaning this filter for the next use with a small rubber spatula and then rinsing it works well. (We compost our coffee grounds, so I scrape them into a compost bucket.) I highly recommend this filter.
